Wow, I just realized that in the last month or so I have been on the road far more then I have been at home. Good thing I love traveling! I have been to Denver, LA, Anaheim, San Diego, and last weekend Des Moines.
I thought I would stay put this month, but ended up in Des Moines last weekend. Even though it was cold and dreary I had a great time! I spent some time with my fiance’s mom and aunts, had some coffee, went shopping, out to lunch, and yes more shopping! It was so much fun, who knew you could have so much fun with your future female in laws!
They even made me feel great about myself and bought me a new pair of jeans and some great tops that really flatter me. -I was holding out on buying any new pants until I dropped back down a size. They convinced me this was not the way to live, you should feel happy and look good at your current weight, while working towards your goal. It’s so true, I feel better already. Thank you to my new family! And try it yourself, don’t look at the tag or worry about the number of the size, just get an outfit that flatters you now and you will feel better.
I also went to my future sister-in-law’s bridal shower (she is my fiance’s little sister, but her wedding is a few years before mine. hehe This October 18th, I get the honor of being her photographer!) And then I met the lovely Andrea for coffee, it was great meeting her-I can’t wait to meet her fiance Tommy and have some fun in a few weeks for their engagement session!
Well all the traveling is fun, but it can take a lot out of a person. Just when you catch up on laundry, and on work-like returning emails and phone calls, its time to pack up again. So I am sorry to all my friends, family and clients for my slower than usual response time this past month and a half. I should return to normal now until mid May. To all the Iowa brides/grooms, past, present and future, I will be back in Des Moines on May 16-May 18, if anyone wants to have coffee, schedule an engagement session, or anything else. I hope the weather there is warm and sunny by then! Got to love the Spring-well almost Summer weather in Chicago. (sometimes it jumps right to summer and skips Spring) It is currently (at 1am) 61 degrees. Today’s high was 75 degrees! That was warmer than Southern California! San Diego was 61 and LA was 68. Wow! Today I am glad to be home. And its true in the Spring/Summer Chicago is one of the greatest cities in the world. It makes you forget the winter, endless days filled with piles of snow and bitter cold, ever happened.
